FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. This PECA solution provides highly effective way to accomplish the purpose of sterilization without any harmful effect on human body and our environment. It only needs small amount of additive (salt), water and electricity to make high level super sterilizer. Some basic information for our PECA solution in below:

    SortNaOCl (Electrolyzed)
    Main ingredientSodium hypochlorite (100/200 ppm)
Active chlorine concentrationpH 7.0 – 7.5 neutral electrolyzed water
    AdditiveRefined salt (> 88%)
    • Strong Disinfecting and Deodorizing Power
PECA generates electrolyzed oxidizing water, one of the most effective and applied sanitizers in use today. PECA solution is proven to kill pathogens and deodorize in a short time and at lower concentrations than traditional chemical alternatives.
    • Safe and Easy to Use
As a neutral eco-friendly solution, it does not produce toxic fumes and is safer than using harsh or toxic pre-mixed and bottled sanitizers, traditional bleach or quaternary based chemicals. PECA solution is gentler and safer on skin.
    • No Damage of Nutrients
Results of test with PECA solution (electrolyzed water) and chloride based chemicals by the Korea food research institute, the residual chlorine of PECA solution is 0.03 ppm, while chemical remains 1.75 ppm. To reach the residual chlorine about 0.01 ppm, PECA solution is needed to wash just once, while chemicals has to wash more than 4 times. In addition of that, the result shows that it doesn’t occur the denaturalization of proteins or browning of foods as a neutral electrolyzed solution. Besides, total vitamin content also shows lower reduction with PECA solution than washing with chloride based chemicals. It maintains the freshness of foods materials (fruits, vegetables, meats) as well as extends the expiry date positively.
    • Environmentally-Friendly (Zero Pollution)
Discharging untreated PECA solution directly into the sewer or septic system is safe and does not produce any harmful effects on the environment. PECA solution disassociates almost entirely into harmless salt and water.
    • Cost effective
The cost of PECA solution is substantially lower than that of conventional disinfectants and other harsh and expensive chemicals.
  2. It is possible for steam to remove bacteria at the site. But in the case of steam, it is difficult to expect a complete sterilization because the steam temperature significantly decreases as distance increases. PECA solution isn’t affected by distance and temperature because electrolyzed water has sterilizing power due to it being a powerful oxidizer.

  3. UV rays only can be used at the specific small area and place, but it is limited to the wide range of place.

  4. In general, ozone is a form of the gas; thus, it must be dissolved into water. However, because of a weak dissolution rate between gas and water, numerous problems arise such as:

    • Decrease of sterilizing power
    • Lower employee productivity due to the effects of ozone exposure
    • High electric power usage
    • The onset of dizziness, headache andnausea due to ozone exposure

Please take note that our man-made ozone is extremely toxic and corrosive. People who inhale ozone during repeated exposure may permanently damage their lungs or suffer from respiratory infections. Ozone exposure may reduce lung function or aggravate existing respiratory conditions such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Ozone may also cause chest pain, coughing, throat irritation or congestion.

  5. Ozone is an oxidant ingredient bit cannot maintain the sterilizing power because it is not diluted completely into water and a respectable amount of ozone is escaped. This residual ozone gas causes air pollution and respiratory disease to human body

  6. In fact, PECA solution contains no toxic chemicals or additives, and poses no harm if ingested in small amounts. Nevertheless, it is not recommended to ingest in large amounts as of good and bad bacteria within our body might be killed.

  7. Theoretically, the standard concentration of PECA solution is about 100 – 200 ppm based on the customer’s requirement. To the best of our knowledge, high concentration of > 20000 ppm will cause sensitive issue on our skin. Nevertheless, the concentration below of 5000 ppm is safe to be used on our human body according to ATSDR USA.

  8. The storage of PECA solution is recommended to locate in dark store room without any direct sunlight exploration at room temperature.

  9. Theoretically, PECA solution can be stored for 6 months. Nevertheless, we recommend to finish it within 1 month in order to claim the best effect of sanitization.

  10. No, rinsing off is not required.

  11. The light chlorine scent is a result of formation of sodium hypochlorite through chemical reaction. This is normal and the smell will usually dissipate within 3 – 5 minutes.

  12. EPA, FDA USA, CE, UL, KFDA, ISO9001, 14001 and 13485.

  13. In general, 100ppm PECA solution is mainly for washing food, whereas 200ppm PECA solution mainly for disinfectant agent on any treated surface. Please take note that 100ppm is sufficient to kill bacteria and virus based on our current evidence.

  14. No, PECA solution does not contain any alcohol, flavors and preservatives, and most importantly, it does not contain toxic chemical additives. It is safe for infants, young children, pregnant women, patients, adults and pets.

  15. Yes, absolutely safe. The main ingredient of our PECA solution is NaOCl and it is generated from salt, which does not harm the skin and respiratory system of babies and pets.

  16. Theoretically, PECA solution can soothe the itching caused by eczema and speed up the wounds caused by itching and scratching.

  17. Yes. PECA solution can effectively kill the bacteria on the surface of hands without damaging the skin of the hands.

  18. Yes. PECA solution can effectively remove the bad odor or smelling.

  19. Yes. PECA solution is safe to apply on ant types of leather, wooden or metal surfaces due to non-corrosive and mild properties with neutral pH value 7–7.5.
